Scott Trial 2016 – Provisional Results

scott-logo-newRichmond Motor Club would like to give their congratulations to James Dabill for winning this year’s Scott Trial.  Provisional results are available to download here:

2016-spoons-and-final-results                2016-special-awards

A full set of results will be available as soon as possible.

As always we would like to thank all those who made this year’s trial happen – too many to mention – but especially the landowners without who’s permission we couldn’t run the greatest one day trial in the world! Special thanks must also go to all the riders and supporters who make the trial such a great event and help us to raise so much money each year for the Scott Charities.

Scott Trial – Updated Rider List.

scott-logo-newIn the run up to the off tomorrow, we have had a few riders drop out/change and therefore your programme list will be slightly different to the riders setting off on the day.  You can download an updated rider list here:    updated-rider-list-21st-october-2016     It’s also useful to print out to use on the day, to keep your souvenir programme in pristine condition!  Please do buy a programme though, it’s a great read and has all the information that you will need to enhance your day at the Scott including the best places to see the action.

Scott programmes will be available on the start field and around the course and are  also available from the usual local outlets – Richmond Petrol Stations; Cross Lanes Store, Richmond; Smith and Allan, Darlington; Piercebridge Farm Shop; AG Bikes, Low Row and the usual Reeth outlets for the bargain price of £5.  Profits made, as usual, will go to The Scott Charities.

Message from The Scott Trial Secretary

Scott logo

To all SCOTT riders, helpers and followers

It will soon be here now and I hope that you are all ready for it.

I know you will be aware, but I wanted to say that The Scott takes a lot of time and effort to organise and a lot of people have been involved with this event, some even since the end of last year. To make this event as safe and as enjoyable for everyone, please read and take notice of any signage around the course and please respect other people and the property you encounter around the course.

Let’s make this year’s Scott a fantastic one.

Good luck to all of you riders and to everyone else, enjoy.

I’ll see you on Saturday !!!

DIANE HORNER

SCOTT SECRETARY

IMPORTANT NOTICE

We have had a gentle reminder from the Police asking us to make sure that you are all aware that any bikes using a public highway MUST be road legal – number plates, insurance, etc.

Whilst the Police are in support of the event, they have a job to do and, if any rider is stopped and found to be in breach of the regulations, there will be no exceptions and they may be prosecuted by way of a fixed penalty notice – or have their bike seized from them if it is uninsured and being ridden on a public road.

So, if you do retire from the trial and need to get back to the start field, please make sure that you don’t use the roads. If this is a problem, wait for a marshal and we will help you to get you and your bike back to the start field.
