How to Enter a Trial
Whether it's your first club trial or the Scott, entering works in much the same way.
01 Check the Event Post
Find the trial in Upcoming Events. Read the regulations or supplementary regs for routes, classes, start times and how entries are taken.
03 Watch for Final Instructions
For bigger events we publish final instructions, entry lists and start times nearer the day. Keep an eye on the event post and our social media.
02 Enter Online or as Stated
Most entries are made online through ACU Sport:80 using the link in the event post. Some club trials also take entries on the day, and the post will tell you.
04 Sign On & Ride
Bring your club membership and ACU registration to sign-on, collect your number, get your bike checked and enjoy your day.

Join or Renew
Membership & ACU Registration
To ride in our trials you'll need two things: Richmond Motor Club membership and ACU registration for trials. Both are handled online through the ACU's Sport:80 system, and both renew every year.
Join or renew using our club link, complete your member details, add your licence or registration, then check out. If you get stuck, the Sport:80 Members Guide in Downloads takes you through it step by step, or just get in touch. Riding from overseas or Scotland? See the steps below.

Riding From Abroad?
Overseas & SACU Riders
Riders from overseas, and Scottish riders with an SACU licence, are very welcome at our trials. To enter ACU events through Sport:80 you'll need a registered Sport:80 account, membership and your licence attached to your account.
Before you start, have two images ready on your phone or computer: a passport-style photo of yourself, and a clear photo or scan of your current overseas or SACU licence.
Once you've submitted everything, your licence will show as pending until the ACU approves it. Approval isn't instant, so register well before entries close. If it's taking a while, get in touch and we'll help chase it up.
